About me...
Hi, I’m Suzanne. I’m a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and the owner of Pinnacle Wellness. I’ve been working in mental health since 2006, and over the years I’ve had the opportunity to work with people in a wide range of settings—from a psychiatric hospital and the foster care system to a university research study and private practice.
Those experiences have shaped the therapist I am today. I’ve worked with children, adolescents and adults, provided clinical assessments, participated in research funded by the National Institutes of Health and trained mental health professionals across the country in evidence-based interventions. While my work has taken many forms, I’ve found that my favorite part has always been the same: sitting with someone, helping them make sense of what they’re experiencing and figuring out what will actually help.
My work with anxiety and trauma is grounded in evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based strategies. I also take a strength-based approach to therapy. I don’t believe you need to be “fixed.” I believe you already have strengths and resources within you, and therapy can help you understand them, build on them and develop new ways of responding when life gets hard.
Most importantly, I see therapy as a partnership. I bring clinical experience, training and tools to the room, but you are the expert on your own life. Together, we can figure out what’s getting in the way and what needs to change.
A little more about me
Of course, I’m more than my credentials. Outside of work, I’m usually spending time with my husband and our three kids. I love traveling, going to concerts, hiking, spending time with friends and finding time for the creative projects. I’m also a big believer that life doesn’t have to be perfectly balanced to be meaningful. Sometimes it’s messy, busy, funny, exhausting and wonderful all at the same time.
I bring that same perspective into my work. You don’t have to have your life perfectly together before you come to therapy. You just have to be ready for something to feel different.
About Pinnacle Wellness
Pinnacle Wellness is a therapy practice specializing in helping adults navigate anxiety and trauma. Therapy is a space to slow down, feel understood and make sense of the patterns that may be keeping you stuck.
My approach is warm, practical and grounded in evidence-based therapies, with a focus on helping you understand your anxiety, work through past experiences, and feel more steady and confident in your everyday life.
Pinnacle Wellness also offers workshops and practical mental health resources designed to make evidence-based tools accessible beyond the therapy room. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, burnout, or the effects of past experiences, my goal is to help you better understand what’s happening beneath the surface and develop tools that actually fit into your everyday life.
